Emergency Ministry Team

The people of Asbury United Methodist Church are partnering with Upper Des Moines Opportunity, the local community action agency, to help people who are looking to give generously with people in need. As the staff of UDMO works with individuals and families, the needs of their clients often exceed available funding and resources, and so EMT reaches out to the generous people of the community through email. People willing to give sign up to be on an email list and will be contacted as a person expresses a specific need.

The partnership between UDMO and Asbury is ideal because we are reaching out as Christ calls us to do. At the same time, the people of UDMO can also connect people to agencies and relationships to really help them.
