For nearly twenty years, Asbury has been one of the key participants in the Room in the Inn program, an undertaking of Homeward Bound of WNC, which provides services for the homeless. Room in the Inn offers shelter, safety, transportation, meals and other services for homeless women, up to twelve a night. Our church hosts them for a week at a time, three or four times a year. Room in the Inn requires many volunteers, some of whom come from our sister church, St. Eugene Catholic Church; St. Paul’s United Methodist helps with transportation and Memorial Mission Hospital provides bed linens.
